At a ceremony the software of the comprehensive library of Ahlul Bayt’s Fiqh (jurisprudence) was unveiled yesterday, February 19 in the holy city of Qom.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - At a ceremony the software of the comprehensive library of Ahlul Bayt’s Fiqh (jurisprudence) was unveiled yesterday, February 19 in the holy city of Qom.

The ceremony was held with the presence of Grand Ayatollah Lofollah Safi Golpaygani and scholars, researchers and intellectuals from Hoze and various universities.

Having welcomed the audience, Hojjat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Bahrami, deputy of Noor Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences clarified the objectives of the center and introduced the software stressing the necessity of publication of such a comprehensive digital library.

As other speaker of the program, Hojjat-ol-Islam Alireza Rahimi Thabet, the executer of the project said: “regarding the variety of the works prepared by many intellectuals in the field of jurisprudence, we decided to provide a comprehensive source to meet the needs of a researcher in this respect applying the modern technologies.”

He noted that the project started from 8 years ago following about 30 forums which were held to discuss the plan by the experts in this field.

The executer, who is also in charge of the office for supervising the quality of software products of the center, added: “the work includes 1251 books by 413 authors from the first Hijri century until recent years in Arabic and Persian languages.”

“Besides a specialized library, there is also a 14 –volume dictionary presented for the researchers at the software,” he added.
